    Hello, I seen your question on BassetMomma blog this morning regarding your 7 year old basset that sheds. You might want to have her thyroid tested, our 3 year old recently had a low thyroid and she would shed horrible. She no longer sheds since being on thyroid meds for 6 weeks know and her fur is so shinny again and she has lost 8 pounds. Stop by our blog sometime, we have 3 basset hounds. We have just found that a low thryoid really impacts almost everything in there system. It even made her nose all scally and chapped looking. Have a great day. Sniffs, The HoundDogs and Mom
