A Day In My Life

A day in my life is not glamorous by any means. It is boring for the most part and a lot of people probably do not want to be in my shoes. We have everyday struggles with living pay check to pay check. I am a worry wart so I worry about everything even if it is two months ahead of time. I think I put a bunch of unnecessary stress on myself. (To much time to think about it, perhaps?)
2 boys who attend school (public) and one that attends a preschool. I guess you can say that. I am not sure what they call them. Developmental preschool. He has autism which I have mentioned several times.

My morning starts off at 6:30 a.m. by waking up little man (Logan) and getting him ready for his day. Some mornings are good and others are not so good. Depends on how he slept that night.

I get him off on the bus, then the two boys off on theirs and I usually try to back to sleep. I am an insomniac so sleeping in the night is something that I do not usually do.

I wake up from my nap and take my dogs out and start on my "chores" you know those awful things grown ups have to do? Laundry which is a never ending battle, picking up all the crap left from the night before. Our coffee table ends up being completely covered by the end of the night. Did I mention I live with 4 boys? I dust everyday. Once a week I move everything and dust under it. I vacuum everyday. I have a Siberian Husky, this must not be skipped or I will have a new dog in the house. After my chores are done I sit down in front of my computer, in "my spot" and start working on my blog or scrolling through facebook. Have I ever mentioned that I do not have a social life? My social life is behind a computer screen.

By the time I have had maybe an hour or two for all my blogging and things Mr. Sexy gets home from work with my little man. He has a total of maybe 20 or 30 minutes to calm down from school, get something to drink and a snack before our wonderful ABA therapist arrives to start another 4 hours of therapy with little man.
So while therapy is going on I try to participate as much as I can, Mr. Sexy will most of the times take care of dinner. I am running back and forth with therapy and taking care of the older two boys, which they have to be reminded to do their chores, take a shower and do homework. I try to call my mom everyday and do this almost towards the end of therapy during the time Logan is having books read to him. The therapist leaves around 7 p.m. then its time to get Logan settled down, eat his dinner(since he does not eat with us because he is super picky) get cleaned up, lotioned down because he has eczema so he needs his daily steroid cream rubbed on the rough spots then the lotion on after that on his entire body. He hates this so its whining the entire time and my hair getting yanked on and even sometimes being kicked. The joys of autism right? He just does not like the feel of that slimmy stuff on him. Then he gets his nightly dose of melatonin and benadryl. If no benadryl he will scratch himself until he bleeds. Then if he is allowed he will get to play his game for a bit before bedtime and of course all we do is sit and watch t.v.
So the little one goes to bed and we are soon to follow. Eric goes right to sleep of course. Men seem to be able to do that well. I sit there on my phone on instagram, pinterest, farm heroes saga, and fb for several hours before I drift off. Then wake up and start over. Not so glamorous right? Every now and then I can go to wal-mart after begging my Mr. Sexy if we can go after therapy. Who thought being in the house so much can make you go insane?

What about you? Is a day in your life glamorous or boring or just peachy?

Am I Back??

It has been months since I have blogged a thing. This life of mine has been crazy and I have been so caught up in getting Logan all situated in his new school and home I have really not had the time or motivation to just sit down and write (type) same thing these days. Lots of things have changed in our lives. I will use this blog post as somewhat of an explanation for my absence. I will not go into to much detail but try to explain a little.

My "soul-mate" turned out not to be the center of my soul. Another failed marriage. I do blame myself in part but it was both of us. Issues started rising when I became pregnant and then continued until I left. We tried to work on it but it just never got better. Seemed to have gotten worse when Logan was "diagnosed" with autism. We decided to part and go our separate ways.

Here I am, starting my life over again. How many times can someone start over? I am about sick and tired of it. In the light of starting my life over I had to over haul my blog page which consisted of a name change and a change in the section of "about me".

I am now living closer to my family and most importantly I am closer to my girls. But there is still the factor that I do live with a man that I am not married to so the two ex douches will not allow my daughters to stay the night and then one douche says its because my significant other has a teenage boy that lives here as well. Its just something I have to deal with in stride I guess because I never plan on marrying again. Just not my thing. I think I have discovered this after three failed attempts.

I still have my boy Logan and no one will take him away from me for any reason. He is my reason!! My current ex (Logan's daddy) is more understanding than the previous two. In some ways this is what Logan needed and I will explain this in future blogs.

Until the next time to all my readers and followers, enjoy your Christmas with your family.

Tuesday 10/ The Soundtrack To My Life!

Woo Hoo! This weeks Tuesday Ten is awesome!! The ten songs of your life.
Thank you to Mom2MemphisAndRuby
and Adventures with Rogue Baby for being the host and co-host of this weeks list! Stop by and say hi to them and show them some love!

I am actually going to do my best in putting these in a somewhat fashionable order since I have a touch of OCD.

1. Just A Swingin' by John Anderson
I actually don't remember or have the memory but have been told this many many times by my parents and my grandmother. When I was about two years old we lived in Texas and my grandmother ran a bar, it was also geared towards family. Evidently we spent lots of time there. The story goes that I would dance on the bar to this song and would go around asking "quarter? quarter?" to all the customers and would want this song played over and over on the juke box just so I could dance.

Now songs  2-6 are not in really any order considering they were around the same time but here is:
2. Tear In My Beer by Hank Williams
For obvious reasons there is not an official video for this. This song is in my memory because my daddy was a huge fan of Hank Williams and this is one of the songs he listened to a lot. Not to mention he always has a beer in his hand. I love my daddy!

3. Daddys Hands by Holly Dunn
My sister and I both agree 100% that this song is my daddy! My daddy still lives (thank God) but this will forever be his song from me and my sister. We love you Daddy!!

4. American Pie by Don Mclean
This song tells a huge wonderful story in its lyrics. The reason this song sticks with me is because it reminds me of my Mom. She sang this song all the time (still does). She always blasts the radio when it comes on. This is her favorite song, therefore this song belongs in my life reminding me of my Mom! I love you momma!!

5.Friends In Low Places by Garth Brooks
Sorry no video because from what I read he does not allow his stuff on youtube? But anyways this song has meaning in my life because when I was young my daddy broke his ankle. He was unable to work for awhile because he had to have surgery and etc...He broke it pretty bad. So people got together and threw a benefit dance for him. We did not know either until the end. This is the song that I learned the 10 step to. It was a huge hit back then during that time.

6. Let's Go Crazy by Prince and Revolution
I could not find a video anywhere except where the link leads you. This song..LOL me and my childhood best friend made up a dance to this song and danced to it at a school talent show. I believe we were in the fifth grade. So much fun and I will always remember that.

7. 3 a.m. by Matchbox Twenty
January 11th, 1998 this song was playing on MTV in the delivery room when my oldest daughter was born! Will never never forget.

8. Bartender Song by Rehab
At one point in my life I could relate to this song. My car was taken by an ex and totaled because he was mad at me. This song reminded me of that back then..Not to mention it was quoted to me.

9. Angel Eyes by the Jeff Healey Band
My current husband sang this song to me January of 2008. He said this song is to me from him. How sweet huh?

10. Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson
My husband claims this is me! That this song is who I am.

There you go! My Tuesday Ten for this week. Hope you enjoyed it and really hope you participate in this fun theme. Click the image below and link up at our hosts site. Have fun!!

Adventures in Puppy Training

"First you learn a new language, profanity; and second you learn not to discipline your dogs when you're mad, and that's most of the time when you're training dogs." Lou Shultz

Meet Rocky. Not sure his exact breed but I am sure he has pit bull in him. Not sure of his exact age but I do know he is young just by looking at his teeth and he still has that unforgettable, unmistakable puppy breath. Rocky came to join our household one week and one day ago. He was covered in fleas, dirty, ears were filthy, bloated with worms and very shy and scared. I have a huge love for dogs and anyone with a heart or soul can not resist big beautiful puppy eyes or that puppy breath. This pup needed a home and I was more than willing to try my hand out in the puppy thing. I knew my husband would be a little upset about bringing a new dog into the house so I waited until I got him and on my way home before I told him.. I also did this through text. I did not ask I just told him. He was okay with it once he seen him. (Goody)

So I get this big boy home and clean him up and get flea after flea off of him. Poor dog. He ended up having three baths within just a few days. Luckily with all that hard work I managed to make sure he is flea free and of course I can't forget the flea and tick meds I put on him. Thanks to my mother she lent me a crate to help with this whole potty training business and also to keep him from destroying or eliminating himself all over the house while we are gone. So we are home, he is introduced to the family and to Mable of course. We cant leave out our six year old basset hound. She likes him (at first) they play and get along pretty well and the first night of puppy training went over pretty smoothly.

First couple of days went as expected and very smooth then I guess when this pup got settled in I swear he turns me into the devil! I forgot how hard it was to potty train a puppy. I wish every puppy came already potty trained. Life would be much easier and there probably would not be as many homeless little or big doggies out there. I find myself cussing this poor puppy every step we both make towards the door after every accident and it seems those are getting more frequent. I blocked off the whole living room so that was the only room he would have access to so I could keep my constant eye on this sneaky little devil dog. Well once again he did good (for just a little bit).

The common signs to watch for when a puppy has to go potty are as follows:
1. The puppy will circle and whimper
2. The puppy will sniff floors
3. Puppy will need to go out after eating and after sleep
4. Generally as a rule the puppy will not soil the place where they sleep

I guess I'm going to have to learn to read all the opposite signs of this?? Rocky will not circle or whimper. He wags his tail and just pees where he is at. I have not seen this dog sniff the floor one bit except to find some food, he would rather eat, play. sleep and then potty (If Im lucky). Rocky likes to pee in his crate. Grrr!!! What gives?  I realize it has only been one week but you would think he would start getting the hang of this thing and not give you that doggie grin while peeing on the floor. I think that is what makes me the most angry. I am beginning to think he likes to upset me and push my buttons, just like a child. So he goes to his crate if he does not potty outside..Now this is a whole other nightmare. This pup slams himself back and forth in the crate causing it rock back and forth and he cries and cries. I need the Dog Whisperer. Czear, where are you????

When this dog is not being such a pain in my rear he is fun. He does the normal puppy thing and he runs circles around the coffee table, plays really well with the kids and pesters Mable. Mable of course is not a fan of this home invader.  He is a good companion for Justin when he is out working in the garage, nice company for me and a decent foot warmer and not to mention a great guard dog. I have faith he will be the perfect dog if I can just keep my patience and my profanity to a minimum or he may kill me by driving me insane. Have you ever wondered why we drive ourselves mad for some satisfaction? Hmm...another topic for another day.
In the mean time check out some links I have posted below of some inexpensive dog products I have purchased and have found works really well. I don't have a pet smart income I have a wal-mart income so these products work for us.

Dog Shampoo
Flea and Tick Drops
Nail Clippers

I wonder how many times I say no in one day??
