Weekend Anxiety!

This weekend was kind of busy but not really. Monday was the kicker.
Mr. Sexy and I decided to actually go on a date Friday night. Just us!
I had a reason to wear makeup

We have not done that in a long long time so it was nice. We did the cliche dinner and a movie or well the movie and a dinner. We decided on going to go see Hercules which was a good choice. The movie was very good in my opinion but Mr. Sexy did not like it all that much. He said it was missing something. Gee I wonder what? There was no nudity or sex in the movie what so ever! I think thats one of the reason I liked it so much.

The theater environment was kind of creepy. I guess because it was a matinee showing and at 4:40 there was only one person in the movie with us. I kept having anxiety that he was going to jump up from his seat and open fire. Go ahead and laugh but it was a thought that kept running through my head. After the movie we went to Ruby Tuesdays for something to eat and drink. Well I am never ever pleased with their food but Mr. Sexy wanted the spinach artichoke dip. That did not satisfy my hunger so I ordered some mozzarella sticks.  That did not do the trick and why waste anymore money? I am never happy with Ruby Tuesday. Only thing they have going for them is the bar.
I do not remember Saturday really or Sunday. I think I just worked on my blanket that I am crocheting at the moment. We are boring people, what can I say? Not really boring its just we live where there is nothing ever going on and if we do want to go somewhere we have to drive 2 hours away. Very lame and I am totally sick of living here.
Monday we had to register the kids for school. Cory is going into the 6th grade, Sean is a sophomore and Logan is enrolling into Pediatrics Plus! We toured this school and it is amazing. The functional play room has a space ship built into it, a play house that will have everything in it, a puppet theater and art center. The walls are sensory geared! In the physical therapy rooms they have a zip line going into a ball pit. Outside they have mini golf and a track for tricycle riding. I am excited for this change in school. I am hoping Logan adjusts well and has fun!
This week there is not much going on again. Just me working on my blanket and getting ready for the yard sale. We dont have much to sale but hey why not throw out what we do have and see if we can make $20 or so?

I am not linking up to anywhere today. Just writing.....

Random 5 Friday

This is my first time participating in the Random 5 Friday. Here is where I am supposed to name 5 random facts about me, my week, my pets or whatever I feel like.

1. I will be glad when these pups go to their homes.
I love the boogers but they are so much work!! I can not explain how much I hate to clean up puppy poo and to have it coming from five! Yeah enough is enough. They are 6 weeks old and ready to go. I had full intentions on keeping them for the full 8 weeks but with my sons home therapy starting it would be a bit much.

2. I am actually blogging when I should be getting some other projects done. Two of these beautiful pups are leaving to go to their new homes tonight. I had an idea of creating gift bags for each new owner for the puppy. I have a few more things left to do and I will have it done. I just need to do it.

3. My son has been home all week. I wanted to give him time to build his immune system up from being sick with pneumonia and the flu. He will return either Monday or Tuesday. I am sure he will be happy to get back to his routine.

4. I have made a deal with myself. Well kind of. I really do not get anything in return. One of my most hated chores is laundry. Everyday I am doing loads and loads and some days I skip which then it backs up. I have made myself do at least 2 loads of laundry a day. Surprisingly I have kept up with this for a whole week now and its not so bad anymore. Maybe I can keep it up!

5. I am so ready to get our tax returns back! I am not a very patient person. After paying bills I am almost positive that I will be investing some money into a new camera. I love to take pictures but I am so dis-satisfied with the camera I have. I am not a fan of the Nikon and its old and outdated. Its time for an upgrade. I think I will be going with a Canon t3i. I am just not sure yet. I have a hard time thinking that I will drop $600+ on one item.

So there it is. My random 5. Not very exciting I am afraid. Who knows it may be more exciting next week. You will Have to come back and see. In the meantime feel free to follow me via GFC, Bloglovin or my FB page which you can find in the side bar. Leave a comment and let me know how you followed and I will return the follow back! I hope you enjoy!

The Eve of The 4th

Its the day before the big blow out!! Hope you all have better plans than we do. We will just be hanging out at home. Nothing special. Maybe make it a pool day. Spend all day in the pool, throw some chicken into the crockpot with bbq sauce and let it cook all day. Later in the night when it gets dark we will attend a fireworks display. I am hoping Logan will be able to handle it. It may be to loud for him though. His first year he slept through it. Last year I had to hold him the entire time and walk far away then he was okay. I guess we will be in for a surprise this year.

Today was just a normal day. Started off getting Logan ready for school and in order to get some cooperation I have to turn the t.v. on every morning. If I do not do this he cries the entire time. At least when the t.v. is on he will smile and let me get him dressed.
 Focused on that t.v.

I get my baby off to school and nap!! Best part of the day. Pretty much all I did besides the normal house work and taking a small minute to myself in the pool.
Best investment I have made

Foot shot!

My honey should be home from work soon. My night will be complete when that happens. Tonight was also a leftover night. I don't like to cook much.
Everyone enjoy your holiday!!

Therapy Shortage

Last night I decided to go through a lot of my sons paperwork from his school. As many of you know my son has been diagnosed with "preliminary autism".
The motivation for this project was the fact that I have noticed his little check marks in his cuddle grams for going to some of his therapy had not been checked off. (for over a week) Now my son is supposed to receive 135 minutes a week of physical therapy and occupational therapy and 180 minutes a week of speech therapy. You add all this together and it equals roughly to about 540 minutes of each one a month. I did the math since I do save all his papers from school and he has never, ever received the amount of therapy recommended. Give and take it has been the holidays and he does miss school due to illness but he has yet to break even close to 300 minutes per session. This month I will say the speech therapist has been doing really well and is in there everyday working with Logan.
I made a trip into the school to see one of the directors and ask why my son does not receive his therapy. I could not get a straight answer of course and she used the excuse that they are short handed. So because of their lack of being able to keep people employed my son and others kids have to take a back seat to therapy. Therapy that is important in helping these children learn the basics they need.
Not only have I heard that this is an issue with this school but once you bring it up to their attention it will be addressed. I was basically told by another person who has had the same issue with this particular problem is the fact that parents do not keep track themselves so they don't bother with it. I am somewhat obsessed when it comes to my sons care. From what I have learned not many parents care as much and there are only a handful of us that do. It is a shame if you ask me. Makes me very very sad for those kids.
Needless to say if I do not start seeing improvement and an increase in therapy I will be finding other ways to get my son his therapy.
One of the downfalls living where I do, not enough resources for kids with Autism. There is only one school. Yes one choice for us parents. As far as extra therapies there is only one other choice here. Equine therapy. Which I need to check the age limits to that. Logan just may enjoy the horses.

Am I Back??

It has been months since I have blogged a thing. This life of mine has been crazy and I have been so caught up in getting Logan all situated in his new school and home I have really not had the time or motivation to just sit down and write (type) same thing these days. Lots of things have changed in our lives. I will use this blog post as somewhat of an explanation for my absence. I will not go into to much detail but try to explain a little.

My "soul-mate" turned out not to be the center of my soul. Another failed marriage. I do blame myself in part but it was both of us. Issues started rising when I became pregnant and then continued until I left. We tried to work on it but it just never got better. Seemed to have gotten worse when Logan was "diagnosed" with autism. We decided to part and go our separate ways.

Here I am, starting my life over again. How many times can someone start over? I am about sick and tired of it. In the light of starting my life over I had to over haul my blog page which consisted of a name change and a change in the section of "about me".

I am now living closer to my family and most importantly I am closer to my girls. But there is still the factor that I do live with a man that I am not married to so the two ex douches will not allow my daughters to stay the night and then one douche says its because my significant other has a teenage boy that lives here as well. Its just something I have to deal with in stride I guess because I never plan on marrying again. Just not my thing. I think I have discovered this after three failed attempts.

I still have my boy Logan and no one will take him away from me for any reason. He is my reason!! My current ex (Logan's daddy) is more understanding than the previous two. In some ways this is what Logan needed and I will explain this in future blogs.

Until the next time to all my readers and followers, enjoy your Christmas with your family.

Poor baby was not feeling well

Prom Time

This past weekend was prom weekend for my niece. I live 2 hours away from her so I barely ever get to see her or the rest of my family such as my sister and the rest of her kids. The last time I was saw them I was pregnant with Logan. Logan is now 14mths old. Thank goodness for facebook or we would never talk. Well my niece sent me a message two weeks prior asking me if I could come for the prom. I did what I could and I made it down there for her prom and took some great pictures.
My night did not end there. I ended up going to my mothers after we ate pizza and seeing my niece and her boyfriend off to prom. I visited with momma for a few hours then went to visit some really good friends of mine that I hardly ever get to see. I grew up with these girls and its always good to be able to still call them my best friends. It was a long but good Saturday for me. I ended up getting home by 5 a.m. and Logan and I slept most of the day Sunday. Of course I cant leave this blog without some prom pictures!!
