I am very pleased to be participating in 5 different blog hops this Tuesday. I figured it was a great way to meet new bloggers and show off my picture.

Okay here is my before picture of a dragonfly that I snapped over the weekend
Here I used PhotoShops Lightroom 4 and added the Medium Contrast Curve to the picture
Then I proceeded to enhance the picture to the Aged Photo setting in Lightroom 4
Now here I save the photo and switch over to my Photo Elements 10. I decided to add a texture to this photo. I have never done this before so I thought it might be fun.
I went to the texturizer and chose burlap with 109% scaling with the relief being set at 4 and this is my result.
I was happy with the result. I thought about adding a frame but decided it would be just to much.
I think I actually like this texturized :-) Do not be afraid to tell me what you think.
I love your Dragonfly, and the texture works well here (although I am rather biased towards textures ;)). I also rather like no 2as it shows off more detail, a great collection :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic pictures! And thanks for the invitation, I will check those hops too :)
ReplyDeleteHugs and have a lovely week!
Love the end result, and just a great capture in general!
ReplyDeleteLove your photo. Great edit.
ReplyDeleteI too am new to textures. They are fun, and a bit addicting! My fav shot is #2, but I like your texture one very much. Keep playing and beware of the warning...addiction!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, this was a great shot to begin with; very cool! I love adding contrast to my photos; it just makes them pop more! I am absolutely loving the aged one; gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot and very creative alterations ~ ^_^ ( A Creative Harbor)
ReplyDeleteThe original is great, and I love your edits, too!
ReplyDeletesuch a cool shot! I love the final edit but I really love the nice clean edit of version 2 also!
ReplyDeleteLove the "bokeh" in the background!
ReplyDeleteI think I like #2 best. I guess I really like the sharp color and contrast. Thanks for sharing your process...all the versions are creative.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot!! I love it just SOOC! But they are all interesting :-)
ReplyDeleteI actually like all four edits very much and I think the original photo does not need much editing. It's beautiful, :)
