Oh it is the closing of the weekend. How sad right? This weekend kind of drug by. The weather here has been horrible and it is starting to get to me. The gloomy skies are making me and everyone else in the household gloomy. I would just really like the weekend to stick around for a bit considering Tuesday is my sons surgery. That will be a bad day for me emotionally. I am already stressing about it. Anyway on to the Prompts which are Sunday Scavenger Hunt brought to you by Ashley Sisk and some Monday Macros! I Heart Macro and Macro Monday 2 (I wonder where the 1 is?)

Friday Hops and Flowers

I have impatiently waiting for some nice beautiful flowers to bloom but it seems we are behind compared to some other so I am limited on what has bloomed around here. 

Tomorrow we are taking the kids to the zoo for a family day. Maybe I can get some pictures of some pretty blooms then. Most of the pictures that I post on my blog are straight out of the camera with no editing done.

Kind of plain right but still a beautiful shot. You are in for a treat. I found this shot this weekend and decided to play around with it in Photo Shop Elements and here is what I came up with

 I actually really like the turn out. Its amazing what a texture or two and gradient map will do.

Photo Creation and Monday Blog Hops

While the husband is gone to work I get to spend some time creating. Now that I have discovered textures I have been playing around with them and some pretty otherwise boring photos. Last week I decided to do something with a scarecrow picture I had taken while visiting my mother. This little scarecrow sits on her fence post in one of her flower gardens. My mother is a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz as well as I am. So this is what I came up with

I am thinking about a print, 5x7 framed for some sort of gift for my mom. Now that my husband is back at work for a couple more nights I will see what else I can come up with.
