Lets Talk Pinterest

Pinterest has become a routine in my world. I find myself pinning away at night in bed, on my phone, while trying to fall asleep. I catch myself saying to many people "I found it on pinterest" But how many of the things that I have pinned have I actually tried?? Not many. I have had some success with what I do pin but have also had some fails. 

This little glow in the dark bubbles does not work! In case you are wondering which one it is, this is the one you cut open glow sticks and dump the solution into the bottle and your supposed to come up with glow in the dark bubbles. NOPE does NOT work!

I went and bought all the supplies because we had a rough winter and our power had went out. We had no way to heat. I thought if anything I could set this up in a bedroom and everyone gather in there to stay warm. Fail!! It did not work. Plus side I got some extra tea light candles for my oil burners and pots to plant my day lily in . 

Not everything has been a fail, I have had some success with the pins I have took an interest in. Mainly the recipes because I get so side tracked that I dont have time to try out the rest. (I need to remedy that.) Here are some recipes I recommend trying. Pinterest did not fail me here!

Liquid Skittles Yummy!! If you like sweet and dont really like the taste of alcohol this is for you. I loved it!

Pot Roast, this particular one has got to be one of my favorites by far! 

Pinterest has also helped me indulge in some of my wants! If I won the lottery pinterest has inspired me to hope for these

I am realistic, I know I will never be able to afford a piece like this without hitting the jackpot but I can dream! 

I am not a fan of taking baths. I prefer showers but with this in my house I am sure I would be spending a ton of time in the tub!

Pinterest is also handy for finding out some of those life hacks that we never knew about. I have a special board for this called Good To Know if you wan to check it out. Learn how to build an emergency fund, kill ants, half recipes, and What foods are toxic to dogs. Very handy in my household. 

No matter what experience you have had with pinterest such as fails or complete success you have to admit, it sure is fun pinning your heart out!

Bloglovin' Issue? No Meltdowns At the Display

One of the hardest things I have discovered about blogging is not the writing one or coming up with a subject (there are plenty of hops out there that help with this) but its the coming up with a title. So I do apologize if my titles are somewhat cheesy but I just try to give it a small summary on the subject.

Anyway I have started using bloglovin' a lot more lately but have realized that my blogs are not being updated there? I have searched the FAQ page and can not find a solution. My RSS feed is valid so I have no idea. I emailed customer support days ago and still have heard nothing. Anyone else experiencing any of these issues or know what to do about it?

Our Fourth of July was a pretty good day. Started out normal and slow but that is the way a mother likes it. Most of the time. My SO (significant other) and I got into the pool for awhile and it was nice to play around and relax in there just him and I. It was to cold to bring out Logan. 

We all ate dinner then went off to a fireworks display. Logan enjoyed his time at the park but he was not a fan of the fireworks. 

I had to keep his eyes covered the entire time or he got upset. On the brightside, no meltdowns. I don't know why he could not watch them or why they appeared scary to him. He may be to sensitive to those sort of lights?? I have no idea.  Any answers to the parents with autistic children??

Something New?

As every autistic parent knows, well most, getting your texture sensitive child to eat something new is something to celebrate! Here  are I am, bragging on my son. He tried an orange slush pop and loved it! 

Something new! Maybe he will continue to enjoy it.

Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls

I decided to try this for dinner Thursday night. You can find the original recipe on my facebook page HERE. 

Most everyone in my household does not have an acquired taste for cabbage but me being raised the way I was, I love it. Pretty much anything from a garden I adore. I decided I did not care if they ate it or not I was going to make it. 

I did make a few adjustments, instead of using a real onion I just used the minced onion seasoning. I do not like peeling and chopping onions so I cheat. This is the only thing I changed and I loved it.

I ate it just the way it was, one of my step sons tried it and he liked it. The other one on the other hand could not unwrap his head around the fact it has cabbage in it he automatically disliked it. My fiance tried and like it but he decided to add a twist. Making it into tacos. He fried tortillas, added sour cream and cheese. I will admit it was good as well. 

This will be a repeat in this house even if it is just for me.
