Laundry Blues

It is Monday! Well on my time it is two hours from Monday but still. Today is one of the days where I link up with some wonderful blog hops and have a chance to discover new blogs as well as hope that others will follow me and enjoy my blogs.
This weekend has been pretty bland! It is to hot to do anything, and to me even to hot to swim. Of course its not my favorite thing to do anyways considering I am a 31 year old woman who can not swim to even save my own life! So that leaves plenty of time to clean house right?  HA HA yeah okay! The last two weeks I have cared less about how my house looks. I have about just given up anyways. Logan destroys it all anyway. Okay well if your not cleaning you could at least put away laundry? BIG NO! This is my worse chore. I absolutely hate laundry. I can wash and dry laundry all day long. Umm if I remember to dry it. I usually forget the washer has even stopped and end up having to wash them over and over again. The bright side, at least our clothes are clean :-) And instead of putting up the clothes when they are straight out of the dryer I think to myself, I will do it later. I would rather blog right now. Yeah right! That does not happen either. So I have a pile at the back of my couch in the corner of a huge pile of CLEAN clothes that need to be folded and put up. Probably thrown back in the dryer to de-wrinkle because I DO NOT IRON! But the whole process would start all over again. Dryer to the floor to wrinkled and repeat. Yes I will get up off my butt and get off this computer and do it. I just do not know when.
The pile that begs for attention. Its behind the couch, I can not see it so therefore the attention begging does not work on me!
Do any of you hate laundry as much as I do?

Friday Creation

We had a much needed cool down around here but of course the heat will go right back up in a day or two. The husband and I decided to take a small drive looking for some photographic opportunities. We got some pretty good shots but those will have to wait for another post. Today I am linking up with a few photo link ups which I will list below but here I am gonna throw this out there.

Textures are becoming addictive. I wish I could tell you what one I used. I know it is a bokeh one and I used the overlay but I did some other stuff to it that I honestly can not remember because I did go through a ton of processes. This is only my fourth photo I have created. (I think)...Maybe fifth or sixth :-)
But the point is I am enjoying learning and the creativity.

Boys Will Be Boys

It has been way to hot around here to do much of anything interesting or neat. It is even to hot to swim. (according to me) After refilling my homemade bird bath that my husband calls "ghetto" and a couple of aluminum pans with some water for the critters outside, we decided to let little Logan outside to play. It had cooled down enough to where I was not dying of heat stroke. He is so funny! He can not stand the feel of grass on his feet, and we have some dry grass so it makes it extra prickly. Finally he decided he would explore. My clean little boy ended up my dirty little boy.
After discovering the pan with some water in it he decided to dump it in the dirt and make mud. He even tried out the taste of a nice handful of mud. He ate this better than he has been eating his dinner lately! I know my cooking is not THAT bad. My husband the whole time is freaking out because I am letting him play in the dirt, mud and water. "He is washable honey."
Of course he gets a bath when we decide to go in. After bath it is time for dinner. He made it to the end of his grilled cheese and passes out! Poor baby was tired.
 Boys will be boys!

This Friday I am participating in Friday Fences and decided since it has been so hot that this shot may cool you off just a tad.

Springfield Weekend

I have not been as active on my blogging this week as I have been. I guess because I am recovering from a very very busy weekend in Springfield Missouri. It was my husbands mothers side of the families annual Fourth of July pick-nick. We attended the first year we were married but have been absent the past two years. Fortunately we made it again this time. It may have been hot but we enjoyed ourselves. It was not so bad under the tree in a shade.

We never seen our kids it seems. They were off playing with water guns, taking a hay ride, driving the Mule or down at the river. Because of Logan being so young I stayed behind with him. We had a wonderful time.

The day before, we got to see our granddaughter in person for the first time. She is 3 weeks old! It was refreshing and made the whole trip worth it.

What is a trip to Springfield Missouri without a trip to Bass Pro Shop? Ugh not much. So of course we had to take the kids..LOL it was all for them!

After the family reunion I had a photo shoot! A guy my husband was good friends with back in his younger days. The shoot was with him and his family.

Those are just two of my favorite shots from the shoot.

On our way home we of course had to stop and take a few more snap shots. I do not have access to those at the moment because they are on my other laptop. I will be possibly sharing those with you as well in a later post!
There was our busy weekend. Of course its been a busy week also. Resting up from the weekend, editing photos, fireworks show and I became ill on the holiday. Now I am better and back to the grind.
Hope everyone had a happy and safe July 4th! Happy late Birthday America!!

Oh I am also linking up with Pixel Dust Photo Art for Photo Art Friday. This is the architectural edition, so here is my photo for that. Justin took the picture I edited it
