Hi everyone! Once again I am linking up a day late. I was laid up on the couch yesterday and I do not think I opened up my laptop once. (all my own fault)
Anyways on to the party!
Yall know the drill! Join in with Ashley Lately and lets get to know each other with the weekly Sunday Social!
1. What is the one item you wish you could splurge on right now?
Does it have to be just one thing? There are so many things in my list that I would like to splurge on! I always want to get clothes for everyone. I love to shop for others, just do not like shopping for myself. A new car. That would solve some problems but then that would be a car payment. Something we can not do at this time. Ours are paid for.
2. If you had an entire weekend of no plans what would you do?
Not sure because this happens all the time. I like weekends that have plans. Other than that all we do is sit around and watch t.v. It gets old. What I would like to do is just load up in the car and take off. No plans no nothing! Just go and see what we can find.
3. What is the next place you are visiting outside your city?
I am going to pick my daughter up in Clarksville. Not much of a travel thing. Its only a 45 minute drive, if even that. The current city I live in is small. There is nothing here but a few restaurants, gas station and a grocery store that is incredibly expensive. There is also a family dollar and dollar general. If we want to go shopping we travel outside the city and go the extra 10 miles to wal-mart just to save a few bucks. The local grocery store is expensive and not only that but you have to watch expiration dates. They have a tendency to not watch this and leave expired products out on the shelves and brown meats. Yeah no thanks.
4. Are you a neat freak or clutter bug?
I am your neat freak when it comes to certain things. I am always trying to find new ways to organize. Now if I could just get the rest of the family to think this way things would be great! My Mr. Sexy and kids are not so big on being neat.
5. What is your favorite summer purchase?
I have not really purchased anything in particular. We were so focused on getting clothes and back to school supplies for the kiddos.
Stay tuned for next weeks questions and answers. Hopefully I can actually post on Sunday! Fingers are crossed!!

Happy Home-Maker Monday 6/23/14
This weekend marked the official beginning of Summer. So far this summer has actually been mild for Arkansas in June. It is usually so hot its unbearable but we have barely even seen 90 degree temps. We spent all weekend in the pool! What a way to celebrate the beginning of summer. Even though I had no idea it was the official start until I seen another bloggers post about it. Thank you for the reminder.
It is another Monday so therefore another Happy Home Maker hosted by Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. You can catch her blog HERE
Now onto it we go!
As I look outside my window I do not see much lol. I am actually sitting in my bedroom and the window is blacked out. But I have been outside today and it is an overcast day and the weather is calling for a slight chance of rain.
Right now I am typing up this post(that is a given) eating on some Vienna Sausages and cheddar cheese. I am not really hungry I just have to make sure that I do eat. After all I am now carrying precious cargo! I am also chatting on facebook and venting about my problem causing mother in law. Or might as well be my mother in law. She is not legally.
Thinking and Pondering on whether or not I should write a letter to someone who needs to hear a few things. I do not know if it would make it worse or better or just be ignored. I guess it is worth a try.
On my bedside table is my pepsi, the only one of the day.
On my t.v. this week is nothing really I guess. Eric(my s/o) always has control over the t.v. so its always Big Bang Theory on every night at 6. After that its left up in the air. I know last night he watched Halt and Catch Fire. I think Wednesday is Duck Dynasty. I am also busy with my son in therapy until around 7:30 every night. Not much t.v. watching for me.
I am listening to my kids friend. He has been here since Saturday and I do not think the boy shuts up...Ever!
On the menu for this week, hamburger and chicken. What goes along with we are yet to figure that one out.
On my to do list..I have an appointment Friday, clean house, laundry..The normal I guess. I need to find a project to work on. Maybe concentrate on my blog and stuff like I said I would do a couple of weeks ago and have failed.
Happening this week is an ultrasound of the baby Friday to make sure everything is on track. I will be a little over 6 weeks. I am hoping for good news.
I am creating nothing so far besides a life.
Looking around the house I see boys on the x-box..Thats it. My dogs are hiding in the bedroom with me lol. Got to love my girls. The only ones in the house besides myself.
From the camera these are taken over the weekend. My baby boy loves the swimming pool.
How did ya'll bring in the summer?

Trumpet Vine
So the last couple of days I have been seeing blooms laying around on the ground and looked and looked and could not find where they were coming from.
I posted a picture on facebook and got a lot of responses on what they could be. Anything from trumpet lily to day lilies. Everyone wanted to think it was a lily. I had one person say a "hummingbird flower" So I looked that up and seen it said a trumpet vine. I kept reading and it said it did not bloom until June. Here it is and its only April. So I passed it off because of that and I never could find a vine. Anywhere!! I walk out this morning and see these blooms basically covering the ground. I look even harder and I found where they were coming from.
Yes this is indeed the "hummingbird flower" or trumpet vine. This is the only living thing on this tree. It was the last place I would have thought to look. It does not start low to the ground. Which is weird but it doesn't.
Supposedly this attracts hummingbirds. I have not seen any flying around it today. All I have seen are bees. If this plant is not supposed to bloom until June does this mean we are going to have a bad summer? Ugh I hate the heat. I hope this is not a sign of what is to come.
A tidbit of information on this vine. It will cause a reaction to people if the leaves are touched, something similar to poison ivy.
If you want to read more about this vine go ahead and click HERE.
I suggest if your allergic to poison ivy, do not touch this plan.

Happy Homemaker Monday/Last Day To Enter Giveaway
Another Monday. I have been neglecting my blog for the last week but I will get to that in another post as to why. It is for a good reason. Good thing I dont have a lot going on in my blogging world to have to play catch up.
The Weather... Right now it is a nice 82 degrees here in Arkansas. Very Very unusual for July! Last year we were above 100. Makes me wonder what the winter will bring. Going my history and patterns it will or can be I should say, a bad winter.
Right Now I Am...Sitting in my spot on my couch and have a dogs paw stuck in my upper back. My dog Missy (chihuahua) likes to sit on top of the couch directly behind me.
On My Reading Pile...I am not much of one to read. I do read a lot of internet articles so the tabs open on my computer are some tutorials on some bracelets I am putting together.
On My T.V...Right now, Borderlands 2 is being played. The oldest boy claims he has not gotten to play the xbox 360 much on his own lately so he wanted to play while his dad is at work and before he takes it over.
What I found While Surfing The Net...As I mentioned above I am searching for tutorials on bracelets and came across this awesome site with over 26,000 patterns for bracelets. The site is friendship-bracelets.net
Whats On The Menu For This Week...Chicken, Chicken and more Chicken
On My To-Do-List...My most dreaded chore, laundry!!
Looking Forward To This Week...Nothing spectacular going on around here
Looking Around The House...Man I need to sweep something awful. Guess that goes on the to-do-list
From The Camera...Unfortunately I have not broke out the camera at all for awhile but always taking pictures from my phone. Here is Logan waiting for the bus this morning. He got super excited when he seen her pulling up the drive this morning.

The Eve of The 4th
Its the day before the big blow out!! Hope you all have better plans than we do. We will just be hanging out at home. Nothing special. Maybe make it a pool day. Spend all day in the pool, throw some chicken into the crockpot with bbq sauce and let it cook all day. Later in the night when it gets dark we will attend a fireworks display. I am hoping Logan will be able to handle it. It may be to loud for him though. His first year he slept through it. Last year I had to hold him the entire time and walk far away then he was okay. I guess we will be in for a surprise this year.
Today was just a normal day. Started off getting Logan ready for school and in order to get some cooperation I have to turn the t.v. on every morning. If I do not do this he cries the entire time. At least when the t.v. is on he will smile and let me get him dressed.
Focused on that t.v.
I get my baby off to school and nap!! Best part of the day. Pretty much all I did besides the normal house work and taking a small minute to myself in the pool.
Best investment I have made
Foot shot!
My honey should be home from work soon. My night will be complete when that happens. Tonight was also a leftover night. I don't like to cook much.
Everyone enjoy your holiday!!

Accident Waiting To Happen Perhaps?
My son is a dare-devil. That is the only word I can come up with. He absolutely has no fear of anything, except Max the tax guy. Those are seriously creepy commercials.
I had been reading stories already this summer about children drowning in pools and it was an accident. I of course being a mother did not understand how such a thing could happen. How could a parent not know when their child disappears and gets in the pool. I said this until today. My son got away from me and was up on that ladder quicker than I could get there. He did not fall in. I got there in time but now I see how it can be so easy. I had to remove the ladder from the pool completely. This did not stop him. He was trying his hardest to find a way into it. My mom sent me in the house to get something for her and she was right by my son and she looked the opposite direction and he was back on that ladder again.
I am sorry to all those parents that their children have had those unfortunate accident. My hear does break for you because it can happen in a second and nothing you can do can stop it.
I am not so sure if this is part of my sons autism that makes him so presistant, stubborn and fearless or just being a normal two year old. My girls never were this brave.
If my son could do this I would not worry so much
There has been a lot of controversy surrounding this. Some people going as far as considering it child abuse. I, myself think this is amazing and wants me to try to get Logan into swimming classes. This is coming from a mother who does not know how to swim. These are skills everyone should know. I applaud the parents of this child or any parent that teaches their kids so young. Just amazing.

Splash Pad
The husband and myself took our little one out to the splash pad today. It was his first time ever going and sadly enough, my first time. I had never even heard of such a place until this summer and I seen it by accident when we were driving around.
I meant to take all the kids when they were all here but never seemed to get around to doing so. Today I decided it was the day to take sweet little Logan. The husband thought for sure he would not enjoy it. In the bath tub Logan does not like his face to be wet at all.
I put together a collage of his time there. All I had on me was my camera phone. Yes I did bring my camera but the husband forgot to put the memory card in it. The built in memory just SUCKS! So its his fault I did not get the best of pictures I wanted, but that just leaves an excuse to go back out and redo it all over with the real camera.
Logan had a wonderful time. It took him a minute to get brave enough to get out there but once he did he had a blast! I will post some individuals that are my favorites.
After he got all dried off and changed we had to make a trip to wal-mart
He is such a happy sweet little boy
Our evening was filled with the splash park and working on a project my husband is making just for me :-) So he says. It just gives him something to do, so he says its for me so I will let him spend the money to make it.
Here is a sneak peek
And of course baby boy has to help too
The project is almost finished and I can not wait to post pictures of the final result! Have a great weekend my fellow readers and bloggers!

Boys Will Be Boys
It has been way to hot around here to do much of anything interesting or neat. It is even to hot to swim. (according to me) After refilling my homemade bird bath that my husband calls "ghetto" and a couple of aluminum pans with some water for the critters outside, we decided to let little Logan outside to play. It had cooled down enough to where I was not dying of heat stroke. He is so funny! He can not stand the feel of grass on his feet, and we have some dry grass so it makes it extra prickly. Finally he decided he would explore. My clean little boy ended up my dirty little boy.
After discovering the pan with some water in it he decided to dump it in the dirt and make mud. He even tried out the taste of a nice handful of mud. He ate this better than he has been eating his dinner lately! I know my cooking is not THAT bad. My husband the whole time is freaking out because I am letting him play in the dirt, mud and water. "He is washable honey."
Of course he gets a bath when we decide to go in. After bath it is time for dinner. He made it to the end of his grilled cheese and passes out! Poor baby was tired.
Boys will be boys!
This Friday I am participating in Friday Fences and decided since it has been so hot that this shot may cool you off just a tad.

Family Fun Friday!
I am sorry if this text is small but I have noticed all of my editing options are gone?? I have no idea what is up with this. I guess I have missed something or just being a total airhead. I am pretty good at that one.
Anyways, the husband and I decided to take the kids out to the local art museum, Crystal Bridges Museum. Always free of admission because of Wal-Mart. I was not totally impressed with the exhibits (I did like some of them) but the building itself is amazing. We kind of had to rush through because it was boring for my youngest son. All the following pictures are taken by phone, so therefore not the best of quality that they could be.

The Kids and I before we enter![]() |
Now on to some exhibits
After the museum we took the kids to Fast Lane which is a lot like Chucky Cheese but some what cheaper and a lot better! Race hit the jackpot on one of the games but my oldest came out with the most tickets. They enjoyed themselves. Its not often they get to do things like this so we try to do it at least once a year.
Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend! I have to take my kids back after Sunday so it will be Logan, Justin and I. :-(

Springfield Weekend
I have not been as active on my blogging this week as I have been. I guess because I am recovering from a very very busy weekend in Springfield Missouri. It was my husbands mothers side of the families annual Fourth of July pick-nick. We attended the first year we were married but have been absent the past two years. Fortunately we made it again this time. It may have been hot but we enjoyed ourselves. It was not so bad under the tree in a shade.
We never seen our kids it seems. They were off playing with water guns, taking a hay ride, driving the Mule or down at the river. Because of Logan being so young I stayed behind with him. We had a wonderful time.
The day before, we got to see our granddaughter in person for the first time. She is 3 weeks old! It was refreshing and made the whole trip worth it.
What is a trip to Springfield Missouri without a trip to Bass Pro Shop? Ugh not much. So of course we had to take the kids..LOL it was all for them!
After the family reunion I had a photo shoot! A guy my husband was good friends with back in his younger days. The shoot was with him and his family.
Those are just two of my favorite shots from the shoot.
On our way home we of course had to stop and take a few more snap shots. I do not have access to those at the moment because they are on my other laptop. I will be possibly sharing those with you as well in a later post!
There was our busy weekend. Of course its been a busy week also. Resting up from the weekend, editing photos, fireworks show and I became ill on the holiday. Now I am better and back to the grind.
Hope everyone had a happy and safe July 4th! Happy late Birthday America!!
Oh I am also linking up with Pixel Dust Photo Art for Photo Art Friday. This is the architectural edition, so here is my photo for that. Justin took the picture I edited it
