Sunday Social 8/24/14 and Weekend Recap

Hey what do you know, I am actually doing this post on a Sunday and not Monday!! Yay for me! 

Today has not been to terribly exciting. Mr. Sexy is in the process of taking down the pool. Even though we seem to be in the hottest part of the summer. No sense in keeping it up if no one will use it. No one has cleaned or it or anything. The water turned green and it had tons of dirt in the bottom. Last year I did the upkeep on the pool but I was down after my D&C so could not do it. No one else would so BAM dirty, nasty pool. 
The boys went with their birth mom this weekend and still not home so I am not to happy about this. Its almost 7 p.m. and still nothing. They have homework to do. (Oh my bad they just walked in as I was typing this)
Logan got a new lead therapist today. She seems nice and knows what she is doing. I am actually looking forward to her ideas. 
I tried a recipe from pinterest tonight and it was an epic fail! I'm not sure if it was my oven or the recipe or what but it was horrible! It was bland and it was dry. Poor Mans Layered Cabbage Casserole. 

I also woke up Saturday morning to a swollen side of the face. Not sure what happened. I still have a bump under my eye. I am pretty sure I got bit by something in my sleep. Wonderful right? This weekend has been a bore and not so great. I am hoping for a better week. Here is to hoping!! 

Mr. Sexy and I also rented The Amazing Spiderman 2.....I was not fond of it. I could not get into the movie. I like Marvel movies and such, Stan Lee even made an early appearance and I did like Jamie Foxx's character. One of the few times you feel sorry for the bad guy. But this movie was like a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10.

1. What are you looking most forward to this fall?

Cooler weather!! The fall scene, I love the colors of the leaves and the crisp air. Oh and Halloween. One of my most favorite holidays.

2. What is your favorite sports team?

Used to be the Denver Broncos but most of the players I liked left so I will be loving on my Dallas Cowboys even more. I may even invite the Chicago Bears into my heart. 

3. If you could go back to college what is the one thing you would change?

Easy!! Not racking up so many student loans due to my stupidity. You can read about that HERE.

4. What was your favorite class you ever took? 

physiology. Yes I am that type of geek 

5. Reach into your purse, what is the first thing you grab?

Umm nothing, I do not carry a purse. I am not your girly type. 

Sunday Social on Monday....Again :/

Hi everyone! Once again I am linking up a day late. I was laid up on the couch yesterday and I do not think I opened up my laptop once. (all my own fault) 
Anyways on to the party!
Yall know the drill! Join in with Ashley Lately and lets get to know each other with the weekly Sunday Social!

1. What is the one item you wish you could splurge on right now?
Does it have to be just one thing? There are so many things in my list that I would like to splurge on! I always want to get clothes for everyone. I love to shop for others, just do not like shopping for myself. A new car. That would solve some problems but then that would be a car payment. Something we can not do at this time. Ours are paid for. 

2. If you had an entire weekend of no plans what would you do? 
Not sure because this happens all the time. I like weekends that have plans. Other than that all we do is sit around and watch t.v. It gets old. What I would like to do is just load up in the car and take off. No plans no nothing! Just go and see what we can find. 

3. What is the next place you are visiting outside your city?
I am going to pick my daughter up in Clarksville. Not much of a travel thing. Its only a 45 minute drive, if even that. The current city I live in is small. There is nothing here but a few restaurants, gas station and a grocery store that is incredibly expensive. There is also a family dollar and dollar general. If we want to go shopping we travel outside the city and go the extra 10 miles to wal-mart just to save a few bucks. The local grocery store is expensive and not only that but you have to watch expiration dates. They have a tendency to not watch this and leave expired products out on the shelves and brown meats. Yeah no thanks. 

4. Are you a neat freak or clutter bug?
I am your neat freak when it comes to certain things. I am always trying to find new ways to organize. Now if I could just get the rest of the family to think this way things would be great! My Mr. Sexy and kids are not so big on being neat. 

5. What is your favorite summer purchase?
I have not really purchased anything in particular. We were so focused on getting clothes and back to school supplies for the kiddos.

Sunday Social All about TV/Movies/Songs

Hey its that time again. I missed it by a day. I guess I should really get into figuring out how to schedule posts. Eh, maybe someday!

1. One show on netflix that you wish was there
Well I do not watch netflix anymore, in fact I rarely get control of the t.v. The kids and the husband are t.v. hogs!! At one point and time I wish there had been The Walking Dead there but it is now so that was awhile ago. 

2. One song you wish they would play on the radio more often
I do not really listen to the radio. I have this nifty app or even on the computer called iheart radio that I custom make my channels so I hear what I want when I want :-)

3. The one song you like to sing in the car loudly
A lot of them! Not a singe particular one stick out. 

4. What movie/tv show do you quote the most?
This is funny but I catch myself saying "Hey you guys" from The goonies! Love that movie

5. What is a silly thing you do daily?
Umm I really can not answer this for myself because I never think I am silly. This is something the kids and Mr. Sexy would have to answer.

Tea or Coffee? Can I say neither? I would much rather have my pepsi. 

Gum or Mints? Well I do not really use either but more times out of none I will choose a mint. Gum can be so hard on my teeth. 

Fruits or Veggies? Umm both! No question asked. I will eat just about all of it except bananas! 

TV or Movies? Well I can not seem to sit still through any of them...I will watch both if I can have a phone or something. Horrible I know

Candles or diffusers? Once again Neither.....I use a wax melt...Just the way it is.

2. 3 Favorite movies that remind you of Summer
I will honestly say I have never been watching a movie and say "Oh this reminds me of summer!!" So as you can imagine I had to sit and think about it for a minute. 
Grown Ups- the first and the second one. They both have either a waterpark, lake or swimming pool in them movie. Waterboy- football practice starts in the summer right? And since I am on an Adam Sandler kick the next movie is Billy Madison-If you have seen it then you know why I think of summer. I do not think there is a cold day in the movie and lots and lots of him being out by the pool. 

3. 3 Favorite articles of clothing you own 
My Bazinga Shirt
My Duck Dynasty warm fleece pj bottoms (they are packed up for the summer though)
My Socks! Always have to have them on when I am not wearing flip flops. I even sleep with them on. 

4. 3 Items on your wish list
I really do not require much or want much come to think of it. If I had to choose I would say, another tattoo,more pajamas,(I love my lounging clothes more than you can imagine) and more hero shirts (I think I am becoming a geek)

5. 3 Books you would recommend to someone
The Hunger Games series of course, John Grishams- A Painted House and that is all..I am not much of a reader. Can you tell?

Social Sunday 6-8-14

I am linking up with Ashley Lately for the Sunday Social. What is a better way to get to know me than by answering a few questions? How fun right? Everyone loves to talk about themselves to a point. It is okay to admit it. 

1. When do you take time out for you?
Well my time was when the kids were at school and the Significant Other is at work. Now that it is summer one of the kids will be home all the time. Logan has year round school because he goes to get his therapies and social interaction with someone other than me. My "me" time will now be spent in my bedroom, by myself before the S.O. and little one get home. Is that bad?

2.What do you find to be your biggest weakness?
I can NOT go a day with Pepsi. It is my coffee and my poison. I can not function without it. 

3. What is your biggest attribute?
Some people find it annoying but I do a lot of research and know a ton of useless information and facts but I also know a ton of useful information. Due to my research abilities I was able to discover that my son was not getting the right type of ABA therapy. Long story short I researched, I complained and got his plan of care changed, a new consultant on his case and now everything will be starting fresh come Wednesday! Go me!!!

4. Where is your favorite place to shop online?
I honestly do not shop online. Very seldom have I ever. The couple of times I have its been through Amazon

5. What is your favorite place to kill time?
Ugh Wal-Mart. Even though I loath the place its where I find myself at all the time.

Sunday Social 7/7/13

This week I decided to skip out on the Sunday Scavenger hunt and just do the Sunday Social. I do not believe I have ever done this link up before so it may or may not produce results. I am a little late on it. After all it is almost Monday. So here we go.

1. What is the best trip you have ever been on?

I have not been on many trips ever. Just to Florida which I did not like. I was ready to come home and was crying before our 5 nights were up. The best food I ate was walking a mile from the motel or hotel, whatever, the fountain blue in Miami to the KFC! I got severely sun burned the first day we were there so I set it up for the most horrible rest of the week. 

2.What is your best idea for a girls weekend?

I got nothing. I can not imagine going anywhere without my kids or at least my significant other. I have never taken off for a girls weekend. My friends have but they all seem to go off to Vegas. A little to rich for my blood. I would get into some trouble. 

3.What is your best idea for a couples trip?

My honey and I have had the best trip to Eureka Springs Arkansas. We rented a cottage for two nights with a jacuzzi hot tub, champagne and roses. We went shopping, out to eat and took the ghost tour at the Crecent Hotel as well as horseback riding. It was wonderful.

4.What is the best vacation on the cheap?

HaHa nothing is cheap these days! But I would suggest just getting on the bike (motorcycle) and just driving and getting a cheap old hotel somewhere to rest then go on. This is something we do plan on doing on some kid free weekend. 

5.What is the place you most want to visit?

There are two on my list. Australia and Egypt. I have no idea as to why considering both are pretty hot climates and I am not a fan of heat. I am miserable in anything about 85 degrees.
