How To Stop Game Requests on Facebook

MY FIRST TUTORIAL: STOPPING GAME REQUESTS ON FACEBOOK
I do not know about you guys but when I am browsing my facebook I see tons of statuses weekly of people complaining about game requests. I have even seen one person post that they would start deleting people if they kept sending them these game requests.

Honestly I do not know what all the complaining is about considering you can stop getting the notifications with a few simple clicks.

In case you do not know how to do this and do not want to see these requests I have put together this tiny tutorial that I hope, can help some people figure it out and not complain on facebook about it. This will allow others to send requests and not get griped out for it. If you follow these steps you will not see anymore notifications or requests.

First of all go to you settings, click on that

Next click on notifications

Click edit by the app requests and activity

The last step is to un-check or check the boxes that you want or do not want to get notifications from. If you DO NOT want a notification then simply un-check the box. That simple. If there is a check next to it, that means you will get a notification. Simple as that and then you scroll to the bottom where is says close! Your done.

NO MORE GAME REQUEST NOTIFICATIONS!!! ALL THAT COMPLAINING COULD BE STOPPED WITH A FEW SIMPLE CLICKS.

It's Okay!

It's okay not to care about the same sex marriage fad that has taken over Arkansas and my facebook newsfeed! Really I have no opinion nor care about this subject.

It is okay to accept that my mother in law or not so much mother in law does not like me. Only reason I can come up with is that I am with her only child. Thank goodness she lives 2,000 miles away! Im not sure I could handle her being in the same state. I should mention, she has NEVER met me.

Its okay that I have ate junk food all day long. Doughnuts and cookies!! Yum

It is okay to be terrified of my sons upcoming surgery on the 20th. It may be a simple procedure but it still scares the crap out of me and that is okay.

Happy Homemake Monday--August 20th 2013

This Monday was the start of a new school year for the kiddos. I guess its not a huge deal around here considering my Logan goes year round and our 15 year old that lives with us started today. So far it has been quiet. Nothing to special or out of the ordinary. Just one of the first days I have actually had a morning to myself. Just me.
I hope you join the rest of us for Happy Home-maker Monday. It is a fun post and I like to join every week (when I can). You can find it on my links page.

Anyway on to it

The Weather: We are still having an unseasonably cool August Summer. Yesterday it barely made 80 and today we are looking at 77 at the moment. This brings me to something I seen on some classified ads. It was a pool that was for sale and it stated "Do not use it as much as I thought" well no crap, we have barely had a summer, of course you have not used it much. I myself have missed my pool. I have not been in it in over two weeks. I could have gotten that tattoo I wanted :-)

Right Now I Am: Sitting in silence typing up this post. Well besides all the noises I can hear outside. Sometimes I do enjoy the silence. No t.v.!! I can concentrate and think much better this way.

On My Reading Pile: Nothing. I am not into novels but I can tell you what tabs are open on my pc as of right now. Blogger dashboard, Diary of A Stay At Home Mom, and season 3 episode 6 of the walking dead just begging to be watched.

On My T.V.: As stated above, nothing, nadda, zip, zilch. Just a black screen

On The Menu For This Week:
Chicken and more Chicken, my honey has some recipe he is going to do that he swears is really good called Mayo Chicken. Sounds kind of gross to me but I will give it a shot. I also have him talked into trying this recipe I found called spinach and pepperjack chicken. You can find the recipe HERE but I have asked him to take out the cajun seasoning and add something else. I am not a fan of spicy. Neither is my body

On My To Do List: Oh I am not so sure. Get organized some more :-) I am some what OCD when it comes to certain things and tomorrow I have a conference with Logans school so I am sure I will have more paperwork to organize considering I want copies of everything such as evaluations and his IEP

In My Craft Basket: Embroidery Floss as always. I am steadily working on all these friendship bracelets that I hope to sell for purposes of donating the money to Logans school and other local programs that help children with special needs. If you would like to check out our online store please do so and make your purchase!!

Looking Around The House: Ugh did I really have to do that? Pile of laundry that needs to be folded and put away sitting on the recliner. I despise laundry and want to avoid it like the plague. Then I see my girls (dogs, missy, Zuri and Lola) just being lazy mutts and resting.

From The Camera: I thought it would be fun to post the very last picture I took or saved from my phone. I have not had the Nikon out lately. Just use my phone constantly.

My sweet little Logan waiting for his bus this morning for another fun filled day at his school with lots of therapy and play time!

Everyone have a wonderful Monday and feel free check out some of these other websites to benefit myself and others

Increase Traffic To My Blog(I need pointers)

So here it is, it has been two years or so since I started blogging. At least I think. I have spent all day today trying to figure out how to increase traffic to my blog.
I participate in blog hops, comment on others I have a pinterest, facebook and twitter. I have opened an account with link referal.
So fellow bloggers what else is there that I can do to increase more traffic? What are some things you do to increase your blogs?

The best ones I have found are the blog hops and of course link referal I have received ratings on the site. Pretty cool. It started out rough because I had some issues where my link was broken but I got it fixed and got things rolling.

Here is the link if you would like to give it a shot

All suggestions I am open to and please share in the comments so others can see as well.

Thank you to my readers who do follow.

Concert, Did You Say??

My husband works for Wal-Mart. He actually works at the David Glass Technology Center which is part of Wal-Mart home office.  This week has been a huge event for Wal-Mart. The shareholders meeting has been in full force. One of the perks of these meetings are the free concerts. Usually the general public is allowed in. This year they decided to go about it a different way. Instead a mass e-mail went out to ALL the employees and gave instructions on how to obtain tickets for the event through ticketmaster. No general public was allowed.
My husband followed the directions and got our tickets the minute they went up for grabs. This year the concert Tuesday night, Carrie Underwood and Chris Young and then on Wednesday night was Cheap Trick and Aerosmith!
I was happy and tickled my husband got tickets to Wednesday night. I have always been a huge huge fan of Aerosmith ever since I could remember and even had tons of their CDs as a teenager.
My mother-in-law came down from Springfield MO and stayed the night to babysit the kids so my husband and I could go to the concert. (thank goodness for her)
We had a blast and the place was packed! Not an empty seat in the place. I am so happy that I get to mark something off my bucketlist! I am so in love with Steven Tyler. Now I had heard of Cheap Trick but could not recall their music. When we got to the concert and they played their stuff I knew exactly who they were. After the concert we went and ate at Denny's. We had a great outing together.
On our way to the concert!

Us After the concert.

Okay anyways I get up this afternoon and look at facebook and this is what I find. This here is a comment left on my facebook status that I posted saying

Only a few more hours until Aerosmith
I wanna know how the Hell you got tickets when you don't work there and neither does your husband. that was
suppose to be for shareholders only. NOBODY was able to get tickets but you. funny how that Shit worked out.

My Reply

April my husband does work for wal mart!
You might want to know the facts before you go posting comments like that

Her Reply

I just think it's funny how you were the only one able to get tickets. don't tell me about knowing facts. here's a fact for you. did you know that somehow this "zone" was listed as a foreign country and that's apparently why nobody else could get tickets?
Anyway, glad you had Fuckloads of fun because nobody but you and Justin were able to.

I can not get over how someone could be

Jealous over a concert. You

Know I can not help but roll my eyes

at people like this. I grew up with this

person. I am sorry for the language

but that is exactly how she put it. Copy

and paste!! Hope all of you enjoy your

Friday. I have a photo shoot at noon!

So It's Friday, What Are You Up To?

Yes it is Friday, and most people are totally excited about it but myself being a stay at home mom its another day. Seems like a beautiful weekend is coming our way. Today it was gloomy, rainy and cold. It was very nice sleeping weather.
I realize today was 4/20,
but our Water Company was closed and we did not receive any mail?? No idea why the water place was closed and maybe I just did not receive any mail. Am I missing something? Anyways like I said earlier, it was just another day for us in our household. No celebrating this stoners holiday or whatever holiday it may be for our water department to be closed. I am not against the smoking of marijuana or anything but I have seen this photo posted all over my facebook news feed and find it funny in a lol sorta way.
Good luck to all of you who celebrated today :-)
Yesterday was pretty much as boring as today has been. My husband spent most of his time working on the computers. Trying to get Linux installed on one of the laptops, making space on the other one, re-installing Photoshop on one of the computers so I can step up my game on picture editing. Looks like I will be taking some courses on line on how to use Photoshop. At least the basics at least. I am wanting to really get into my photographing hobby, of course I always want to get into something. I always start then never finish. I always seem to lose track and start on something else that I don't finish. Its a nasty pattern to be into.
We did spend a little bit of time outside yesterday in the late evening. Logan really seemed to enjoy it. Even though he tried to eat everything he sees. He has to try everything.

You can definitely tell Spring is here. There are caterpillars everywhere you step, turn and look.

For the dinner (thanks to the husband) we had beans and potatoes, but as us southern gals like to say, fried taters. Logan was eating them just fine at first then he decided he did not want a thing to do with it.

Hopefully he enjoys tonights dinner better, once again thanks to the old man. He likes to cook. Thank goodness because honestly I do not for the most part. I get into my moods but mostly I am not a cooker.

Everyone enjoy your Friday night and if you feel like doing some blog hops this weekend click on the image below and have a wonderful weekend and happy hopping.
