This weekend marked the official beginning of Summer. So far this summer has actually been mild for Arkansas in June. It is usually so hot its unbearable but we have barely even seen 90 degree temps. We spent all weekend in the pool! What a way to celebrate the beginning of summer. Even though I had no idea it was the official start until I seen another bloggers post about it. Thank you for the reminder.
It is another Monday so therefore another Happy Home Maker hosted by Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. You can catch her blog HERE
Now onto it we go!
As I look outside my window I do not see much lol. I am actually sitting in my bedroom and the window is blacked out. But I have been outside today and it is an overcast day and the weather is calling for a slight chance of rain.
Right now I am typing up this post(that is a given) eating on some Vienna Sausages and cheddar cheese. I am not really hungry I just have to make sure that I do eat. After all I am now carrying precious cargo! I am also chatting on facebook and venting about my problem causing mother in law. Or might as well be my mother in law. She is not legally.
Thinking and Pondering on whether or not I should write a letter to someone who needs to hear a few things. I do not know if it would make it worse or better or just be ignored. I guess it is worth a try.
On my bedside table is my pepsi, the only one of the day.
On my t.v. this week is nothing really I guess. Eric(my s/o) always has control over the t.v. so its always Big Bang Theory on every night at 6. After that its left up in the air. I know last night he watched Halt and Catch Fire. I think Wednesday is Duck Dynasty. I am also busy with my son in therapy until around 7:30 every night. Not much t.v. watching for me.
I am listening to my kids friend. He has been here since Saturday and I do not think the boy shuts up...Ever!
On the menu for this week, hamburger and chicken. What goes along with we are yet to figure that one out.
On my to do list..I have an appointment Friday, clean house, laundry..The normal I guess. I need to find a project to work on. Maybe concentrate on my blog and stuff like I said I would do a couple of weeks ago and have failed.
Happening this week is an ultrasound of the baby Friday to make sure everything is on track. I will be a little over 6 weeks. I am hoping for good news.
I am creating nothing so far besides a life.
Looking around the house I see boys on the x-box..Thats it. My dogs are hiding in the bedroom with me lol. Got to love my girls. The only ones in the house besides myself.
From the camera these are taken over the weekend. My baby boy loves the swimming pool.
How did ya'll bring in the summer?

Good, Random and Fun
This past weekend was of course Mothers Day and it has been all over the blogging world. It was not a huge deal here at my household. It never really is. My oldest daughter was on the road from a vacation she took with her dad to Disney World. My oldest step son was off with his mother but yet hanging out with his cousins. The day was spent visiting my mother (surprise visit)! To me those are the best. The unplanned. I of course was told I could do whatever I wanted because the day was about me. That did not turn out well. I have a hard time thinking about myself. I live for satisfying my family. To see them happy makes me happy so we just went with the flow.
The Good
We saved a life! We found this little girl under our house. We then took in the little girl and the mamma and fattening up mamma.
So far the little girl seems to be doing well!
The Random
Here is a random shot I took with my camera. I was in the truck and we were stopped in traffic for just a second. Was not the best shot but kind of neat
The Fun
The fun was left up to my honey. Fun for me is getting to use my camera (even though I am not the best at it) but the physical fun was had by Eric and him going to the shooting range.
haha I almost got hit by flying shell casings!

Random 5 Friday
This is my first time participating in the Random 5 Friday. Here is where I am supposed to name 5 random facts about me, my week, my pets or whatever I feel like.
1. I will be glad when these pups go to their homes.
I love the boogers but they are so much work!! I can not explain how much I hate to clean up puppy poo and to have it coming from five! Yeah enough is enough. They are 6 weeks old and ready to go. I had full intentions on keeping them for the full 8 weeks but with my sons home therapy starting it would be a bit much.
2. I am actually blogging when I should be getting some other projects done. Two of these beautiful pups are leaving to go to their new homes tonight. I had an idea of creating gift bags for each new owner for the puppy. I have a few more things left to do and I will have it done. I just need to do it.
3. My son has been home all week. I wanted to give him time to build his immune system up from being sick with pneumonia and the flu. He will return either Monday or Tuesday. I am sure he will be happy to get back to his routine.
4. I have made a deal with myself. Well kind of. I really do not get anything in return. One of my most hated chores is laundry. Everyday I am doing loads and loads and some days I skip which then it backs up. I have made myself do at least 2 loads of laundry a day. Surprisingly I have kept up with this for a whole week now and its not so bad anymore. Maybe I can keep it up!
5. I am so ready to get our tax returns back! I am not a very patient person. After paying bills I am almost positive that I will be investing some money into a new camera. I love to take pictures but I am so dis-satisfied with the camera I have. I am not a fan of the Nikon and its old and outdated. Its time for an upgrade. I think I will be going with a Canon t3i. I am just not sure yet. I have a hard time thinking that I will drop $600+ on one item.
So there it is. My random 5. Not very exciting I am afraid. Who knows it may be more exciting next week. You will Have to come back and see. In the meantime feel free to follow me via GFC, Bloglovin or my FB page which you can find in the side bar. Leave a comment and let me know how you followed and I will return the follow back! I hope you enjoy!

Happy Homemake Monday--August 20th 2013
This Monday was the start of a new school year for the kiddos. I guess its not a huge deal around here considering my Logan goes year round and our 15 year old that lives with us started today. So far it has been quiet. Nothing to special or out of the ordinary. Just one of the first days I have actually had a morning to myself. Just me.
I hope you join the rest of us for Happy Home-maker Monday. It is a fun post and I like to join every week (when I can). You can find it on my links page.
Anyway on to it
The Weather: We are still having an unseasonably cool August Summer. Yesterday it barely made 80 and today we are looking at 77 at the moment. This brings me to something I seen on some classified ads. It was a pool that was for sale and it stated "Do not use it as much as I thought" well no crap, we have barely had a summer, of course you have not used it much. I myself have missed my pool. I have not been in it in over two weeks. I could have gotten that tattoo I wanted :-)
Right Now I Am: Sitting in silence typing up this post. Well besides all the noises I can hear outside. Sometimes I do enjoy the silence. No t.v.!! I can concentrate and think much better this way.
On My Reading Pile: Nothing. I am not into novels but I can tell you what tabs are open on my pc as of right now. Blogger dashboard, Diary of A Stay At Home Mom, and season 3 episode 6 of the walking dead just begging to be watched.
On My T.V.: As stated above, nothing, nadda, zip, zilch. Just a black screen
On The Menu For This Week:
Chicken and more Chicken, my honey has some recipe he is going to do that he swears is really good called Mayo Chicken. Sounds kind of gross to me but I will give it a shot. I also have him talked into trying this recipe I found called spinach and pepperjack chicken. You can find the recipe HERE but I have asked him to take out the cajun seasoning and add something else. I am not a fan of spicy. Neither is my body
On My To Do List: Oh I am not so sure. Get organized some more :-) I am some what OCD when it comes to certain things and tomorrow I have a conference with Logans school so I am sure I will have more paperwork to organize considering I want copies of everything such as evaluations and his IEP
In My Craft Basket: Embroidery Floss as always. I am steadily working on all these friendship bracelets that I hope to sell for purposes of donating the money to Logans school and other local programs that help children with special needs. If you would like to check out our online store please do so and make your purchase!!

Looking Around The House: Ugh did I really have to do that? Pile of laundry that needs to be folded and put away sitting on the recliner. I despise laundry and want to avoid it like the plague. Then I see my girls (dogs, missy, Zuri and Lola) just being lazy mutts and resting.
From The Camera: I thought it would be fun to post the very last picture I took or saved from my phone. I have not had the Nikon out lately. Just use my phone constantly.

Favorite Material Possessions
We all have them, our favorite material possessions! This could be from something huge to something very very simple. In order to think of what these were for me I had to think what I would hate to lose in a house fire. What are those things that I would try to grab before I ran out the door?
(By the way this is the Tuesday 10)
1. My photos! I take pride in keeping up with all my family photos over the years and through all the moves and divorces! (two) I believe I would be lost if I did not have those wonderful moments captured of all my kids while they were younger.
2. Quilts, my grandmother has made me two quilts. One of which has my oldest daughters hands (pattern) sewn into it. My daughter was around five years old when she did this. She is now fourteen.
3. Angel ring holder and my great grandmothers wedding set. This was given to me when she passed away. I was thirteen at the time. The angel ring holder is of course just a cheapy from the dollar store but this is a gift that I had given to her.
4. My laptop computer! Where would my life be if I did not have this. My how the times change
5. I know I could not grab these while running out the house but I am very attached to my butterfly canisters. I got them around 9 years ago.
6. My associates degree in paralegal studies! Yes I still have this in its "case" it may not be doing me any good but it was an accomplishment in my life.
7. My car, its not new but it runs and gets me where I need and I love it
8. My rings, I only have a few but I cherish the rings my husband has gotten me.
9. My phone!! Oh my I would be lost without this thing!
10. My camera! Images above brought to you by my camera! Our family moments brought to me and everyone by my camera! Capturing beautiful portraits for others! My camera.

Beginning Of My Summer
Memorial day has been used by some to mark the beginning of Summer as Labor Day marks the ending of summer and the beginning of fall. I believe this beginning of summer thing! It is already hot for me. As I have gotten older I have not been able to handle the heat like I used to ever since I had my son. I was pregnant with him during the summer of 2010 and ever since then if it is above 80 degrees out I die! I absolutely hate to sweat unless it is accompanied by something productive. Getting out of the shower and drying myself off and I begin to sweat is not my definition of productive.
I am not a big fan of swimming, but since I have kids I try to suck it up and take them. I do have fun at times but mostly I just think I am going to die. This comes from my fear of drowning. As a child my parents never really took us swimming much. I never really learned how to swim. Yes I know, I should have swimming lessons but I am now 30 something and I do not want to look silly out there with a bunch of kindergardeners. I guess I could swim enough to save my own life if the need be but my goal is not come to that!
So my Summer has officially started! I got two of my kids for the summer on Friday. It has been nice having them here and knowing I do not have to take them back until sometime in July. I get my oldest June 7th. She has basketball camps and etc. to attend before being with her mom for the summer. But I have to deal with that now that she is in the teenage years. That is okay, the other kids and I enjoyed our trip to the park.
I had an infant photo shoot that did not go as well as I hoped. Maybe I am just hoping for to much at once. I have a tendency to be OCD and perfectionist and realize I am new at this and I can not have it all at once. And since I am a beginner I do not have all the equipment I wish I had (new camera) But I am making do with what I have.
I am really hoping that they will be satisfied with the result of the shoot. Keeping my fingers crossed. I have three more shoots confirmed and booked and waiting on two more for the small details since I will be traveling 200 miles to do these other shoots.
I am glad I decided to take my photography to the next level and give a huge thanks to my husband who is supporting me the whole way.
I am following some photographers blogs and I love learning new tips and tricks. It is wonderful that people out there share what they know. Really hoping this goes somewhere, if not that will be okay too.
Everyone enjoy your Memorial Day and those of you that get your extra day off. My husband actually had to work an extra day so our celebrations were non-existent. I am planning on a little something later on today (Monday) to take a short trip to the cemetery and catch some of the beautiful decorations. The town I live in has a huge ceremony and decoration. Thought it might be a good photo opportunity. Is that morbid or wrong of me?
